I began my strong connection to Kent Street Community Kindergarten when my son attended in 2011 and had the privilege to begin teaching here in 2016. I love the truly authentic warm feel of the service, where play is celebrated as children’s first form of learning.
I believe strong, respectful relationships provide the foundation for children to thrive and develop a deep love of learning. At Kent Street Community Kindergarten this is at the heart of our philosophy. Our community Kindergarten allows us to build these relationships each day with the children, families and the community.

My name is Kristy. I’m a mummy to 2 amazing children and I love spending every minute possible with them. I’ve been in the early education industry for 19yrs and in that time I have worked in a variety of positions. I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to work at such an amazing kindy like Kent Street Community Kindergarten.
A kindy that is so welcoming and inclusive and where each child’s individual needs are met daily. I love being a part of such a big year of growth, and watching the children learn and grow though play in our natural environment is so rewarding.
Kent Street Kindy is not only a kindergarten, it feels like a family.

With over 25 years experience in Early Childhood Education l have thoroughly enjoyed working in our Kindergarten since 2002. I look forward to spending my time in our friendly environment and meeting so many wonderful families each year. Both my son and daughter loved their Kindy experience here and made special friendships that they still have as young adults. I have great pleasure sharing my passion and encouraging each child to develop the love for learning, while building confidence to reach their full potential.

For over 25 years I have worked in community Kindergarten administration; I have experienced C&K kindergartens as a parent, a committee member, and now as both an employee and Grandparent.
I was extremely fortunate to find my way to Kent Street Community Kindergarten in 2019 and I love coming to work here so much that I can’t see myself choosing to retire anywhere else. There is no better start to your child’s learning journey than our Kindergarten - the educators here are the most kind and caring people, and the learning environment and facilities are so welcoming. My grandchildren are now beginning to experience this amazing kindergarten and they absolutely love it. Come and visit us and I’m sure you and your family will love it here too.
