I’m especially grateful for the love and care extended to Jay in the difficult moments earlier in the year and for continuing to ‘turn up’ each day and accept with such grace and aplomb whatever twists and turns the day offers up. Having been a part of the Kent Street community for the past 18 years it's easy to say that Kent Street feels like coming home and It's all thanks to the amazing team of educators who make everyone feel welcomed and loved. When asked why I've chosen Kent Street for my children I really have no explanation except, it's Kent Street and no other kindy compares. Ms Lahrs, Mrs Butler, Mrs Campbell, Lindy, and even you Mrs Stagg (always a kindy teacher in my eyes) have given my children and countless others the best start to their education journey anyone could ask for. I'm grateful for you all everyday.

We cannot express how grateful we are for such an amazing experience the team has provided our son, or should we say family. Not only has he had the opportunity to develop his school readiness skills, he's made friendships and had people to model the values of kindness and compassion. We cannot wait to return in a few years time when its our daughter's turn.

I cannot recommend Kent Street Kindergarten enough. If anyone is looking to send their children to kindy this is the place to send them. From the first phone call to enquire, till nearly entering our 3rd year of being a part of this kindy family, I have felt nothing but love and support from all the teachers. Every child is welcomed with open arms and given all the support they need to tackle any challenges. The confidence and self belief my children have gained during their time at Kent Street has really set them up for all their schooling years ahead. If you’re looking for not only a kindy, but a family - don’t go past Kent Street Kindy, it really is a hidden gem.

I couldn't ask for a more nurturing, supportive and family orientated kindy than this one. The teachers are kind, they are helpful and provide a safe and fun environment for the children. They recognise the children are individuals with personalities and quirks and work hard to enhance them.
My daughter started off the year a terrified, shy and introverted wee girl and the wonderful ladies at the Kindy have helped her feel comfortable with not only herself but in groups, working with pairs and developing friendships and relationships.

We feel very fortunate to have discovered such an amazing kindergarten. From day one our daughter and family have been made to feel very welcome. The staff have been incredibly supportive and we are grateful for all the knowledge and guidance they have passed on. Kent Street Kindergarten is magical. I have always believed that the energy of a place reflects the people who interact with it the most.
The feeling when I came into Kent Street Kindy is like an oasis. It’s nestled in the heart of a busy suburb, with all the noises of planes overhead, trains, sirens, traffic, and people going about their lives. But from the time that second gate closes, the shelter of the Kindy energy hushes those noises away. My attention is drawn to the little fairy style garden filled with pockets of learning about the mysteries of weather and nature. Then through the third gate, and you have a canopy of sheltering mature trees standing watch over the industrious adventures of play that are fostered, nurtured and encouraged by the Kent Street team.
How symbolic that these trees are there, like the Educators themselves. Guardians that shelter their young scientists, adventurers, artists, and philosophers on their learning journey. This Kindy is not just an educational institution, or a day care. This place becomes an extension of our family experience - a beautiful safe space where the wider world meets our children, and creates an invaluable experience of learning.
This is the magic the team at Kent Street have created, and helped sustain, through their tireless efforts. It is so clear to see how passionate about Early Childhood Education you each are. I am so grateful for all that you do, and how supportive of our family you consistently are. Kent Street Kindy is the standard I believe that should be used as a teaching reference for other kindergartens to follow. Exceeding Excellence.
